Man charged with break-in at Church

An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a series of housebreakings in the Kelso area according to Police Scotland.

The first incident happened overnight on Thursday, 17 June at the St Andrews Episcopal Church on Belmount Place Kelso.

The next incidents took place overnight between Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 August at the Border Union Agricultural Society in Springwood Park and a property on Station Road in Kelso.

Officers say that the teenager is due to appear at Jedburgh Sheriff Court on Monday 16 August 2021. 


The police have been very good in keeping me up to date with their progress in this case and I thank them on behalf of us all for their hard work and dedication
